In November 2019, Dr. Natalie Zemon Davis and her husband Dr. Chandler Davis welcomed a small crew from the Women & Gender Studies Institute in their home for an interview about the Women’s History Course that Natalie and Jill Ker Conway developed and taught at the University of Toronto in 1971.
Over the course of filming the larger project that our interview inspired, we sadly lost Chandler in 2022 and Natalie in 2023.
We are eternally grateful to Natalie for her inspiring work that, along with others, laid the groundwork for the foundation of our department.
This film is dedicated to Natalie, Chandler, and their lasting legacy.
