Ian Liujia Tian has successfully defended his dissertation entitled “Queering Social Reproduction: Pleasure and Labour in Urban Southern China.” Committee members include: Dr. Jamie Magnusson (OISE), Dr. Shana Ye, and Dr. Jesook Song (Anthropology), with Dr. Natalie Oswin (Geography) as the internal examiner and Dr. Ronald Cummings (Associate Professor, Department of English and Cultural Studies, McMaster University) as the external examiner.
Ian will join Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax as a tenure tracked Assistant Professor of Global Equity Studies in the Department of Women’s Studies.
