The WGSI would like to congratulate Sam Sanchinel, WGSI PhD Student on being one of the recipients of the 2024 TATP TA Teaching Excellence Award. This award is presented by the Teaching Assistants’ Training Program to outstanding teaching assistants across the university.
This competitive award is well deserved by Sam, who has not only been a phenomenal TA in various WGSI courses, but has also created countless opportunities for community engagement within the department through her work with the Feminist Sports Club.
Sam’s ability to provide thorough feedback, excitement to participate in experiential learning activities, and compassionate approach to community building shows how willing she is to go above and beyond to support WGSI students.
