The Ceta Ramkhalawansingh Scholarship
This undergraduate scholarship is awarded to one student entering third year or higher who is enrolled in a major or specialist program in Women and Gender Studies or Caribbean Studies. It is awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit to a student engaged in courses related to feminist studies on the global south, women in the public sphere and/or diversity. This scholarship was established to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first course in women’s studies at the University of Toronto in which Ceta Ramkhalawansingh was a member of the teaching collective.

The Elsie Gregory MacGill Prize (St. George Campus)
Awarded to the most outstanding student graduating with a Specialist or Major degree in Women and Gender Studies. Awarded at the end of the academic year.
The Helen Gregory MacGill Prize (St. George Campus)
Awarded to the student who achieves the highest standing in WGS160Y or WGS261Y. Awarded at the end of the academic year.
Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence
Each December 6th, the University of Toronto community marks the National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women with events across the institution. In 2016, the University established the Graduate and Undergraduate Award for Scholarly Achievement to recognize students who have made distinctive contributions in the area of gender-based violence research and prevention.
The two awards (one undergraduate and one graduate) are available annually in the amount of $1,500.
