In these dark global times, feminist voices and musical practices feel more essential than ever. We invite you to gather in person for the launch of The Oxford Handbook of Feminism and Music Education, a new edited volume that brings together vibrant feminist perspectives shaping the future of music education.

Come explore new ideas, connect with passionate colleagues and community members, and celebrate this important contribution to the field. The event features appearances by the volume’s editors, Prof. Marissa Silverman (Montclair State University, Cali School of Music) and Prof. Nasim Niknafs (University of Toronto, Faculty of Music), along with live musical performances, participant voices, a panel discussion, and more.

We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of reflection, conversation, and celebration.

Co-sponsored by the University of Toronto’s Faculty of MusicWomen & Gender Studies Institute, and the Jackman Humanities Institute.
