WGSSU is proud to present part 1 of our WGSSU Wednesday series:
“Teen Mom I.R.L: The Social Determinants of Health & Lifting The Veil of Stigma Surrounding Teen Sexual Health, Pregnancy and Parenting in Toronto.”
Come out, engage and participate in our lively discussion on teenage pregnancy, young families, health issues, stigmas, and myths. This will also be an opportunity for students to learn about resources these organizations offer and to ask questions.
This event will be presented by the June Callwood Centre and co-hosted by GAAP. June Callwood Centre is a multi-service resource centre based in Toronto for pregnant teenagers, young parents and their children. Gendering Adolescent AIDS Prevention (GAAP) is a team of researchers (both faculty and graduate students) who are interested in participatory approaches to working with young people in relation to sexuality, HIV prevention and AIDS awareness.
The event is located at the WGSI Lounge on 40 Willcocks Street. Light refreshments will be available.
