Congratulations to Cornel Grey, who has accepted an offer to join the Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies at Western University. One of the exciting things about the position is that Cornel will be contributing to build their new Black Studies minor launching this year.
Cornel’s doctoral dissertation, Black Synesthetics: On Queer Feeling, Real Contact and Black Flesh, was supervised by Professor Rinaldo Walcott. For the past year, he has been a post-doctoral fellow at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, working on a mixed methods study examining the impact of Covid-19 on gay and bi men, and pursuing work on black queer health.
